SPTE AND FTE 2027 DATES OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED
Pacific Tourism Organisation and Tourism Fiji announce dates for the region’s two leading tourism trade events
30 June 2026 | SUVA, FIJI – The Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) and Tourism Fiji today confirmed that Fiji will host the South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) and the Fiji Tourism Expo (FTE) in 2027, with dates formally announced at a meeting between SPTO Chief Executive Officer Christopher Cocker and Tourism Fiji Chief Executive Officer Dr. Paresh Pant at the SPTO office in Suva.
SPTE 2027 will be held from 5 to 6 May 2027, followed immediately by FTE 2027 from 7 to 8 May 2027, both in Nadi, Fiji.
The announcement follows the SPTO Board of Directors’ decision on 6 May 2026 to approve Fiji as the host venue for SPTE 2027, following a competitive bid process that also included Tahiti Tourisme. The Board directed the SPTO Secretariat to engage with Fiji to finalise arrangements, of which today’s announcement is the outcome.
The two events will again run consecutively, an arrangement the SPTO Board has formally recognised as delivering operational and commercial value to international buyers and Pacific tourism operators alike.
Hon. Viliame Gavoka, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, welcomed the confirmation.
“Fiji is proud to again bring the Pacific’s two most important tourism trade platforms to our shores. SPTE and FTE together give our industry, and the wider Pacific, direct access to international buyers at a time when growing visitor arrivals is a national priority. We look forward to welcoming the region in May 2027.”
SPTE is the Pacific’s leading tourism trade show, connecting international buyers with operators and National Tourism Offices from across SPTO’s 20 Pacific Island member countries. FTE is organised by Tourism Fiji and runs immediately after SPTE, giving industry partners a comprehensive back-to-back trade programme in one location.
Further details on programme arrangements, registration, and sponsorship opportunities will be released by SPTO and Tourism Fiji in due course.
